This Program is geared toward youth ages 3-10 who want to learn to swim, or improve there swimming. These American Red Cross Certified courses are taught by Jessie Gordon a local certified instructor at the Ramada Inn of Grayling.  (classes include… Tiny Tots 3-4 year old, L-1 (K-2) and L-2 (2-4th grade)

Youth Archery Class: (Registration Form)

This introductory course is run by Northwoods Archery Club and offered to boys and girls, 5^th through 8^th grade. Classes teach safety, equipment maintenance, and basic archery skills over a six week period. Weather permitting students will also shoot outside on 3D target course.

Walk 100 Miles: (Registration Form)

An all ages program to motivate you at the start of spring. GRA provides the log book and you walk, hike or bike through the summer keeping an eye on your mileage from May 1^st and October 31^st.  Turn in your mileage and you will receive a customized t-shirt with your accomplishments listed on the back.

This Program is held in conjunction with the Grayling Country Club and designed to teach the fundamental and intermediate skills for a competitive golf game in young children. The program starts in June with a weeklong clinic then continues through the summer with applications including driving range and course play.

YOUTH LEARN TO PADDLE CLASS:

This is meant to be an introductory course to learn to paddle both canoes and kayaks. Boys and girls ages 5-15 will learn basic strokes, water safety, and fundamentals all while having fun. This six week class includes instruction, boats, paddles, and PFD’s. All you need is sun block.

PADDLE DEVELOPMENT 1 PROGRAM:

This program is for young individuals who are interested in competitive paddling. Paddlers will receive performance coaching twice a week where they will improve their speed, technique, and fitness.  Athletes will be introduced to more challenging boats, age appropriate calisthenics .
